Target x Sanrio x Hello Kitty
For the 40th anniversary of Hello Kitty, we partnered with Target to help bring to life an interactive carnival at the first every Kitty-Con held at MOCA in downtown LA. We created a narrative focusing on the lifelong friendship of Hello Kitty and Bullseye the Target Mascot.
Bullseye the Target mascot was turned into a Sanrio character, as well as the creation of several new Hello Kitty characters. The carnival (over 700 sq. ft.) allowed players to collect an RFID tag and play the carnival games to collect points redeemable for Hello Kitty merchandise.
The experience included a spin on traditional carnival games, as well as original video games, a custom 3D fortune teller Hello Kitty complete with fortune cards, animated photo booths with 3 2.5 dimensional backdrops, interactive musical garden using Makey-Makey technology, and an interactive Leap motion sensor display.
